Founder's House

The oldest home in New Market, Maryland, Founder's House was built in 1778 by William Plummer, a quaker and the town's co-founder. The Inn retains its federal charm and is the perfect place for grown ups to relax, rest and refresh.

The Inn features comfortable accommodations, as well as plenty of quiet places to rest and reflect, including a cheerful sun room and a beautiful English Flower garden in the back. There is also a duck pond nearby.

Situated right in the middle of New Market, there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, not to mention enjoyable Antique stores and gift shops.
